That's what it's all about, isn't it - books that connect a reader to a writer.

One of the kid's old bedrooms is now a library and I'll share a photo once the books stop dancing around (with joy, I hope!). Fiction seems to be perpetually expanding - always the way as these flipping writers keep writing more stuff I want to read.

I try to make notes about books I read. I don't always, especially if I loved it so much I don't want to spoil the magic, but I do it for my monthly book group and it's a good way of articulating why I liked or disliked something. Sometimes I imagine my book group responding, and gives a perspective on something that had jarred or seemed silly and helps me understand what the writer might be trying to say.

Anyway, I hope I'll find the time to add my thoughts here and you can comment too - remember to keep it respectful.
