Love to Read, Love to Write
Ok, so the plan for 2026 is to promote my writing more. I'm not good at self-promotion as anyone who's followed my music career will know - I invest so heavily in the creative side it's difficult to find the energy and resilience to handle getting it out there and coping with setbacks.
I've been querying (as they say) Are We Still Friends? with no success so I will be investigating new avenues and, hopefully, writing about the journey on here.
old plans - 2022
The new plan is to build on the success of the original plan and include more blogs, with different categories including some of my own writing.
It won't be the best, partly because nothing is ever good enough but also when I dare to share I usually have to say that it hasn't been made public anywhere else. Sorry.
My first set of writing is from lockdown. As you will see, I am very fortunately placed compared to many many others but am hoping to share some common emotions.

PS I unearthed my father's old typewriter for some photos and it still works! Not sure I'm brave enough to use it for writing though.

The original plan was to bridge the gap between the first and second year of the Open University MA in Creative Writing. This means the website will cease to share work in the autumn.
I will try to devise and maintain a safe-space to share work for feedback - please be considerate and community minded.
We can also share opportunities, competitions and other tips on here (once I've worked out how!).
I am making this up as I go along, while trying to find time to write myself, so ideas are good but please be don't expect miracles!
